"Dragonfly Brings Abundance"     $45 Framed     7"x 7"
Dragonflies have long been held in great respect by the Hopi and their ancestors and are believed to be sent by the gods to bring water to dried up springs and confer other benefits to the people. Their song resembles the word for water in Pueblo languages. They are a positive sign of water, fertility and abundance.

"Mother and Child" (Hopi Maze)        $45 Framed   7"x 7"
The center line at the entrance is directly connected with the maze, & the center of the cross it forms symbolizes the Sun Father, the giver of life. Within the maze, lines end at four points. All the lines & passages within the maze form the universal plan of the Creator which Man must follow on his Road of Life. The 4 points represent directional points embraced within this universal plan of life.

"Butterfly Clan"                  $45 Framed               7"x 7"
This petroglyph was found at Pictograph Point in Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado. It was done by an Anasazi nearly 900 years ago. It is the symbol of the Butterfly Clan. The Hopi believe butterflies to be good omens of fertility and life. In northern New Mexico, butterflies were treated with affection and were thought of as the returning spirirts of departed loved ones.

"Courtship"                         $45 Framed              7"x 7"
This petroglyph was found in a canyon adjoining Canyon de Chelly in northeastern Arizona. The figures walk hand in hand, he entreating, she listening. Whether it be initials carved in a tree or images carved on rocks, throughout the ages and in all cultures the pursuit of love is recognized and celebrated. Ah, love...

"Go, Safe From Loss"           $45 Framed       7"x 7"
According to rock art expert Levann Martineau, two parallel animal horns represent completion of an act. The shield represents protection. The left hand of the animal has more fingers than the right. Since the animal is facing to the right, the protection is sought for the journey in that direction. Hence the interpretation, "Go Safe From Loss".
