Freddy's Famous Ferret's Chicken Soup
Let Freddy and Troubles help you find a ferret soup that is easy for you and healthy for them . . . . . minus the ferret!

There are a lot of 'soup' recipes out there. Ours is 'tested and true' and has the advantage of being easily customized to fit your ferret's particular needs and circumstances. It also provides a familiar flavor, and as long as you are feeding a quality kibble, provides all the necessary vitamins and minerals for a healthy, balanced diet with the advantage of being fortified with extra, easy to digest meat proteins.

soup consists of approx.:
3 cups your favorite dry ferret food,
1 can Campbells cream of chicken soup,
2 soup cans of water,
approx. 1/8-1/2 lb. baked, boiled, or broiled chicken (cooked liver can also be added),
3-4 hard boiled eggs, shelled

Using your kitchen blender:

Blend dry foods to a heavy meal consistency. Set aside.

Blend other ingredients and set aside.

Slowly blend approx. 1 cup of dry foods to approx. 2 cups fluids. Adjust as necessary to produce an oatmeal type consistency.

Separate into 1 cup to 1 pint size portions. Repeat process with remaining ingredients.

Store by freezing. Keep refrigerated after thawing.

To serve after thawing; mix individual’s portion in dish with enough warm water to create the desired consistency.

Prescription foods such as canned A/d or K/d and/or additional supplements can be added to “soup” if needed.

Can be microwaved, but be careful not to serve too warm.

And that's all there is to it!
