BTARS participated in the Battleship Texas December 20th, 2003, "Radio Day" and Christmas Party

BTARS - NA5DV participated in the U.S.S. Texas "Yule Tide 2003" the Battleship's month long Christmas celebration. December 20th was designated "Radio Day." One hundred thirty-seven contacts were made with various amateur radio stations throughout the United States and Canada on 20 meters. Radio amateurs participating in operating NA5DV were Lance Borden, WB5REX; Dale Martin, KG5U; Frank Cooper, W5VID; King Waters, KK5LU; and Reid Shipp, WA5ARI.

This photograph was taken on Christmas day, 1933. "Yule Tide" was the winning entry of the annual ship-wide Christmas decorating competition.
