I apologize, and now, on with the links. Let the net surfin' begin! One of my favorite old pulp heroes is Doc Savage and this is a *really* good jumping off point. (Yeah, there are other Doc Savage pages, but here's a good launch pad) Speaking of reading, one of my favorite columns is The Straight Dope, by Cecil Adams. I want to be like him when I grow up - he knows everything. Instead of reading Tolstoy, I grab some Destroyer novels, which feature the wacky shenanigans of Chuin, Master of Sinanju, and his pupil Remo Williams. Read all about how they fight evil, treachery, wickedness, and stuff like that. Another cool writer is country singer/mystery writer Kinky Friedman. You gotta admire a guy who wrote a song entitled "Get Your Biscuits In the Oven & Your Buns In The Bed". Here's a page about one of my favorite writers, Harlan Ellison. He's probably one of the greatest minds on this planet, and I don't say this lightly. If you like horror, and think Stephen King is a little too accessible, be sure to check out the works of Robert R. McCammon. You will not be disappointed. Two of the best things about living in Chicago are enjoying the comedic talents of We're Geniuses in France (a public access cable channel - go figure), as well as Aaron Freeman, who used to host Metropolitan on NPR until they canceled it for some lame-o show. They're both cooler than the Bulls, and a lot less annoying. Of course, NPR is also home of Car Talk , with Click & Clack, the Tapper brothers. They make my dad's attempts at car repair look competent. Guys, I mean that as a compliment. Honest :) It's the leader of the Nairobi trio himself, Ernie Kovacs! When I have some "spare time", I enjoy watching the antics of those zany nutty cuckoo Marx Brothers. They don't make comedy like this, folks. Indulge in their genius. Never mind the bullocks, it's Monty Python's Flying Circus Online! Hey, kids, break out the cigarettes and suck down the coffee, it's Denis Leary! Two of my favorite cartoons are the late, lamented Freakazoid and The Tick. Huggbees! Spoon! Here's a page dedicated to the coolest hero around, Superman. When he's not doing cool painted comic books...well, that's his thang. His name is Alex Ross, and he rocks! Before there were the Avengers, or the Justice League, or the Fantastic Four, there was the Justice Society of America. These guys kick major butt, man, and now they're back! Check out this site about the new JSA Whenever I read the newspaper, there's one strip that, since there's no more Calvin & Hobbes, makes me laugh out loud. Read about the wacky antics of Paige, Peter, and Jason, and their parents, in Fox Trot For a long time, I've been looking for web pages dedicated to Starman and Sandman Mystery Theater, my two favorite superhero comics. Now, I at least get one wish granted - I enjoy browsing the Starman Compendium, a page dedicated to Jack Knight - superhero, coffee achiever, pop culture aficionado, and all around cool guy. Here's a tribute to Alan Moore's unsung masterpiece, V for Vendetta Do yourself a favor, and read The Big Takeover, the latest issue of which just came out. Trust me, reading this magazine will change your life. It did mine. Subscribe now! Check out the genius of The Rutles, which Eric Idle wrote about in his award winning documentary, All You Need Is Cash. I once saw the Buzzcocks live in concert. Worship me now. One of my favorite, wish-they-would-have-broken-big bands was Eve's Plum. Clever name, great singer, and some killer songs.... One of my all-time fave bands was the Replacements, and quite frankly, you need to check out the home page of the Skyway, the Replacement e-mail newsletter. Spend your lunch money and buy their CDs. You'll thank me for it later. Modern music sucks. You know who told me? Bob F****** Mould, that's who! When I finally grow up, I would like to work for the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement. You know, of all the issues we face, and the debates that forge our nation, there's one that is of critical importance to the new milennium: who played the better Eddie Fitzgerald, also known as Cracker: Robbie Coltrane or Robert Pastorelli? My money's on Robbie, myself.... One of the best reasons to own a television is a little show entitled NewsRadio. They even have a man named "Andy Dick" on. Let's all say that together -- "Andy Dick". Klugmania abounds on the Quincy, M.E. Fan Page! I've always had a soft spot in my heart for British ladies, so I was surprised to find James Dawe's Avengers Home Page . Diana Rigg was my first major crush...but enough of that. This is a G-Rated web page! Since I am a major league Doctor Who fan, check out the Doctor Who Home Page. [there are so many DW pages, I'm including a good jumping-in point.] It's my belief that if Ross Martin had seen what they did to his acting meisterwork, The Wild Wild West, he and Robert Conrad would hunt down and whup the collective heinies of those involved. Will Smith, you have been warned. Would you believe it's...a Get Smart page? Would you believe...the wit and wisdom of Barbara Feldon?... Nude photos of Ed Platt???? Before there was Babylon 5, there was Blake's 7, aka "the thinking man's Star Trek". When I was a kid, my Saturday mornings were spent learning Polish instead of watching cheesy live-action kid shows. Here's the home page of everyone's favorite comedic android, Robert Llewellyn, better known as Krytten of Red Dwarf Like me, many people agree - America OnLine deserves our complete and utter contempt . If you want to read some cool scripts, be sure to check out Drew's Script-O-Rama. If you're a true fanboy, you will get a kick out of this site. Also, if you want to catch the Coming Attractions of upcoming films, here's the place to do it. Get the scoop here! In my spare time, I enjoy doing something really productive, like popping bubble wrap. Now you can do this online! When I was small and wee, I had one of those Magic 8 Ball thingies. Now learn what's inside those thangs! Click here - it's better than dancing hamsters! A home page for hot dogs! What is this world coming to????? Here's a site dedicated to all those urban legends you hear about. It's got pictures and everything. It takes a special kind of page to be a fanboy page, and this one is, well, it's my kinda page.... Here's an online talking, or "wee-jee" board. Lord knows the last thing I need is a copyright infringement lawsuit... Yes, these are my myriad fanboy obsessions -- the stuff I eat, drink, and sleep about when I'm not busy doing stuff like working and pining for Emme, the Supermodel. (And if you want to know more about me, read my bio. It's more interesting than hitting yourself with a stapler.) So I watch tv a lot and drink too much coffee -- WHO DOESN'T? YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT, PAL? HEY THERE, TOUGH GUY! I'LL TURN YOU OVER LIKE A BAD TRANSMISSION!!!
By the way, if you haven't already, I have several fanboy links on my Home Page. Plus, check out my Kids in the Hall subpage and my friend Craig's Dark Shadows page

Even though I think astrology is the intellectual equivalent of Velveeta, I still have to admire Rob Breszny's Free Will Astrology page. It's wacky nutso fun!
