Welcome to McCotter Technologies
New and Recent Developments
Over the last three or four years there have been a number of new developments.
There is a lot to show you and I hope you will take the time to go through the pages of this newly designed
web site.
New And Innovative Electric Technologies And Applications
McCotter Technologies, founded in 1986, and I have managed to keep it going through a period
of dormancy. It's primary goal has been to come up with Innovative Ideas, Research and Development
of Alternate Electric Power Systems. Once again, McCotter Technologies wishes to bring
these new and exciting electric concepts and design technologies to the public. I am inviting
Corporations and Manufacturers to examine these innovative design concepts. It's my goal to design
and create new concepts in all electric power and system applications.
What Is McCotter Technologies?
McCotter Technologies is not a Manufacturer. McCotter Technologies is a small company operation
that is dedicated to identifying problems within the environment and the fields of electrical power, alternate
sources of power generation and electric transportation Systems . Through analysis, innovation, research and
development, it is my goal to come up with new concepts and solutions to these problems
Fossil Fuels are now becoming a greater problem.
We all live in this world together. As technologies progress, we all must contend with the
problems associated with them. One of these is the dependance upon oil and gasoline. McCotter Technologies
has taken on the roll of evaluating these problems and coming up with viable and workable solutions that will make
our world a better place to live. One of these goals is the design and development of an all electric vehicle that free
the American public from ever increasing gasoline prices. Of course, these sytems can also be adapted to other forms
of transportation as well but there are other systems that involve power and environmental controls for homes and
businesses. These will also be addressed in the future as well.
I don't like to say this, but people in this country have a tendency to become complacent about the
things that go on around them. We have a tendency to accept and tolerate, what appears to be lifes minor inconvieniences.
However, with the increasing cost of oil and gasoline, it now has become an almost unbearable burden on the
average citizen. Our families must now do without or with less just so we can fill up the Gas Guzzler that is sitting
in the driveway. WHY? Even minor inconvieniences can have lasting consequences that effect us all in the long run.
Some may be small problems but, there are larger problems just looming over the horizon. It is my goal to identify these
problems and to solve them with newer and more usable and reliable technologies.
Industry and Organizational involvement is Necessary
There are many people that are engaged in developing electric vehicles. At present, the
Hybrid electric vehicle is taking center stage but, this is far from the answer to the problem. If it was an answer
General Motors wouldn't have shelved a One Billion Dollar EV progam. Others are installing large electric
motors in vehicles and loading them up with 400 to 500 pounds of batteries. Quite often, these vehicles get only
30 to 40 miles range per charge. Until newer designs of electric motors and battery power systems are developed,
this is not the answer. I have taken a lot of criticism because I have taken the time to design and develop cutting
edge applications that will solve the problem. I have never taken the cheap and easy way to solve problems.
My designs are a complete operating system and solution to today's problems. I'm hoping you will agree.
But, I can no longer do this myself. I have taken these designs and built the necessary
prototypes to test the viability of the systems. Now it's going to take Organizational Funding and involvement by
various companies to help bring these power and drive systems to their ultimate conclusion. Once we do this,
the future of electric vehicle technologies will have been achieved.
Development Goals.
Gearless Hub motor Applications
The hubmotor applications are being designed so that they are compatible with today's
front wheel drive vehicle suspensions. Not only will new cars be built, but system packages may also be
developed so that car owners can do conversions of their current front wheel drive vehicles.
Electric Turbine Engines
The Electric Turbine Engine is being designed so that it fills the needs of different
types of transportation and power applications. Not only cars, but trucks, buses, trains and jet aircraft. I am looking forward to
the time when the first all electric jet aircraft will take to the skys.
New Formulation, Extended Life Battery Designs
This is a new development that provides an electrolite formulation that can extend conventional
lead acid batterys. The new formulation will extend the life of batteries for five to ten years. It's very possible that
future electric cars will have batteries that will last for the life of the car. Generally, this is ten years or 100,000 miles.
Another new development is a Flexible Battery Pack that can be installed in unused areas of the
car such as body and fender wells.
Syncronous Gyro Kinetic Generators.
This type of generator utilizes standard laws of force in different ways.It is a finely balanced system
employing conservation of energy, machanical advantage and ballast energy storage capabilities. The generator
is designed as a primary power source that will be almost self generating and self supporting.
Low Power Vehicle Lighting and Indicator Technologies
The age of the filament bulb has come to an end. New designs are being designed and tested that will
replace filament bulbs used used as headlights, brake lights and indicators with low power, high intensity
flouresent and LED applications.
What We Don't Understand Today......,We Will Understand Tomorrow.
I have been funding all of this research and development myself. It has been tiring, time consuming
and costly. I am at a stage where greater capital infusion is necessary on an industrial scale in order to bring these
power system to market. These are not hobby projects and unfortunately, I don't have the time to entertain hobbyists
who are toying with make-shift vehicle modifications that employ current electric motor and battery products None of
these developments and prototypes represent products that can be purchased off the shelf. Although I will welcome
any inqueries from hobbyists who may be interested.
I will try to illustrate and explain as much as I can but many of the fine details will be withheld due to
intellecual property issues. I am no longer applying for patents on many of the later developments because they apply
costs which in the long run prove fruitless. At present, the United States Patent Office is lke an unguarded garage sale.
Industril engineers rumage through the junk and steal whatever they want.. They're always taking advantage of easy
targets and they figure as long as they don't get caught, they're not doing anything wrong. The same goes for the internet
and the World Wide Web. Copyrights and Property Protections don't mean anything anymore. So as a result, I hope you
will understand why I don't explain everything. But I do want to Thank You for your interest..
