M.C.Cotter Technology is currently making part of it's extensive, 3 Dimensional Hardware Library available to individuals, commercial and educational institutions. Our .3ds mesh, 3-D hardware objects are the most realistic creations you will find on the market today. Over the past few years, we have gone through painstaking efforts to reproduce hardware items both common and uncommon, in eye catching ways that not only enhance their appearance, but will also enhance any 3-D engineering design. The Xacta Form 3-D Hardware Library, which encompasses the skill and technical experience that has taken hundreds upon hundreds of man hours to create and compile is now at your fingertips. It's the ultimate hands off approach to selecting, and merging hardware items into your projects simply and easily.


Matched 3-D hardware forms in a True Scaled environment

All of the threaded hardware in this library has been scaled
so that they can be easily merged into matched hardware
sets. The threads are not stacks or box spirals. Each threaded
object has been created with a "True, Right Hand Thread". Most
of the geometry has been checked and welded into single
element objects so that merging, attachment , scaling and
moving can be done easily and trouble free.You will not find finer
3-D hardware objects like these anywhere.

The xacta Form 3-D Hardware Library is a unique collection of 3-D objects in a highly consolidated format.
(1) 48 individual and well organized hardware file libraries.
(2) 436 object types representing a total of over 1200 selectable objects.
(3) Some Objects available in both low and high density geometric forms.
(4) Each object has been individually mapped and textured.
(5) Most Object types are presented in three basic textures, Bright Silver, Brushed Black, and Bright Anodized finishes.

Common Machine Bolts in various Styles, Sizes and Textures

These bolts are organized into Four (4) basic Styles and Six
(6) different Sizes. Also included are heads and shanks
in a number of different lengths so you can create your
own custom bolt sets. Three different textures are provided
for ease of selection.

Common Machine Screws

These screws are organized into 15 different files offering
an assortment of 29 basic head styles, presented in three (3)
different sizes. Also included are heads that can be used
along with various threaded shanks found in the threads file
module in a number of different lengths so you can create your
own custom screw sets. Three different textures are provided
for ease of selection. Also provided are two different geometry densities.

Common Selftap Machine Screws

These screws are organized into 9 different files offering
an assortment of 29 basic head styles, presented in three (3)
different lengths. Washer head screw types have added to this
group. They are created in a medium density geometry and represent
a true, tapered metal or wood screw thread

Threaded Shanks and Studs for Custom Applications

These Threaded Shanks and Studs are organized into Two (2)
basic Styles. These are provided in a number of
different lengths so you can create your own custom
bolt and screw sets. Three different textures are also provided
for ease of selection.

Boolean Installable, Threaded Insert Modules

These Boolean Installable Threaded Insert Modules
have been designed and engineered to provide
Trouble Free boolean insertion of threads in your
present project. Two basic styles and sizes are provided
to produce threads that are scaled and compatible
with all other threaded object in this 3-D Library.

These are grouped into Nine (9) separate files that
offer a variety of Styles, Thread Forms and Textures.
Some have been drilled for specialized safety requirements.

Matched Pulleys and V-belts, with Construction
And ModificationTools

These are grouped into two files. The first
file contains V-belt pulleys in seven (7) different sizes,
The second file contains Twenty One (21) V-belts that are
organized into various configurations and ratios. They have
been created on a level playing field so that they merge with
the pulleys into your project along the same horizontal plane.

Matched Retainer Rings and Grooved Pins.

This file contains various Retainer Rings and Grooved
Pins that can be 3D and 2D scaled to whatever length
is required. Also included are two (2) sets of blank pins
with separate Grooved Ends for custom pin creations. Tool
rings are also provided to make boolean cutting of ring
grooves easily and accurately.

Matched Hubs and Shafts with Keyways.

This file contains various Hub styles and Shafts with
Keys and Keyways that can be 3D and 2D scaled to whatever length
is required. The hubs allow for boolean combinations with Pulleys and
Gears.

Common Rivets and Blind Fasteners

These are included in two (2) separate files.They
include Rivets in different configurations and textures.
Heads and rivet butts are also provided for low geometry
and custom rivet installations.

Common Box Washers in a variety of Styles and Textures

These washers are provided in a number of unique shapes
and styles that are scaled to correspond with all threaded ojects
within this hardware library. Also included are general application
washers that are textured in many different materials. They are
packaged in two separate files and come in Bright Silver and
Brushed Black

The Xacta Form 3-D Hardware Library was produced using the Autodesk ,3D Studio, Release 4 in ,3DS format.
The Library is being offered on CD ROM only and is also being made available in the following formats: Texture maps and material libraries are included with this library. While the catalog, mesh and file function of the library remains unchanged, texture maps and map library files will have to be adapted by the users to thier particular 3D studio. design platforms.
