Michael
W. Smith is one of our favorite artists and is in my opinion one of the
top artists in Christian Music. His list of song writing and producing
credits is a mile long. The quality of his albums is superior.
Michael's solo career began in the early 80's while working with Amy Grant.
Some of His most well known songs include: "Friends", "Great is the
Lord", "Thy Word", and "Secret Ambition". Die hard fans flock to
stores, record radio stations. and set vcr timers looking to nab anything
Michael W. to add to their collection. What you will find here is

Another reason we like him is because of his amazing abilities. He is known primarily as a keyboard player, but has honed his guitar skills in the last few years and has written many of his newer songs on guitar. His second Christmas album, shows his ability to perform a variety of music styles very effectively. Also, Michael has written hundreds of songs during his career and has had his songs performed by many top artists. Michael wrote many of the songs for the first "My Utmost For His Highest" project and he also played some of the keyboards on the record. In addition to song writing, Michael is a great producer and is the founder of Rocketown Records. Michael has branched out beyond just making songs and has channeled his creativity into other areas where he is making big time contributions to the Christian Music Industry and helping to give it even more credibility. Besides his work in the Christian Music Industry Michael started the Rocketown Club for teens, planted a new church, and his done scoring for films.
