MY TESTIMONIAL
Grace is really an awesome place.  It is a very small college which creates a great atmosphere.  It is place that I feel like I can call home.  The small number of students makes it possible to get to know almost everyone.  There are numerous activities ranging from bonfires, to trips to the beach, trips to Chicago, and dorm events.  Also, there is plenty of personal attention from the faculty and staff, and even opportunities to 'hang' with them and get to know them.     For being such a small college the quality of education and the various programs is phenomenal.  Grace offers a wide range of majors that is usally only offered at larger colleges.  The music program is growing at a really fast pace and it is neat to be a part of that.  The professors are so willing to help you learn and grow.  It has been really cool to be able to use the studio and the midi lab and create music.  Grace has many musical ensembles that students can participate in.  They are great learning experiences, and more opportunities are becoming available to travel and do concerts away from the college.
When I first came to Grace my musical abilities were mostly natural and I didn't understand the theory behind it.  All I knew was that I had a strong desire to learn everything I could about music.  Shortly before I arrived, the head of the Music Dept. decided to take another job which caused some new students to leave.  The program came out of that trying time with a much clearer future and is now stronger than ever, and continues to move toward being the best program possible.  Like the music program, I also grew and learned so much during my time here.  The classes have really helped  to solidfy my Christian beliefs and develop a stronger sense of purpose for being involved in music.
Also, while here at Grace, I met my wife.  Only God could have pulled that one off.  She is from Pennsylvania and chose Grace out of three possible schools, even though one was much closer to home.  The Lord led me to Grace four years after high school and a  year after she started.  PA is a very large place and it can take up to 8 hours to get all the way across.  Amazingly she is from the eastern side and only an hour and a half away from my hometown in NJ.  When you are both going to school in MI and then have to go home for the summer an hour half apart is nothing at all.
I can't say it enough.  Grace is a wonderful place.  God is doing some amazing things here.  Great things are happening all over the campus.  More information about the music program is available from our GBC Music Page, or if you want to know more about the other programs available you can go directly to the college's website at www.gbcol.edu.
