Geren & Beth Fisher - Married August 1st 1998 at Calvary Church of Souderton, PA
There are a number of choices to make when planning a wedding including things like what colors to use, who is going to perform the ceremony, and who is going to be in the wedding.  Here are some the choices that we made for Ours.
-
We decided to go with two of our favorite colors which are teal green and peach.  The Bridesmaid dresses were teal, and some of  the flowers were peach.  Our decorations and favors included both colors.  We chose to go with basic black for the tuxedos, with teal green bowties.

Overview
Rooms were rented at a Holiday Inn in Kulpsville, PA. for the overnight stay.  We held the rehearsal dinner there as well.  The wedding itself was held at Calvary Church of Souderton.  For our reception we used a large banquet room at the church and had the food catered in by Wegman's.  Our honeymoon had two parts.  The first was a stay at a Bed and Breakfast which included a wonderful sunday morning brunch with the family and a time to open our gifts.  The second part was a trip to Clearwater Beach, Florida where we stayed in a motel right on the Gulf of Mexico.
Our Pastor and Our Service
Who knew finding a pastor would be so difficult.  When our first choice had to cancel, we were left to find an available pastor from those on the church staff.  We made the right choice in choosing Pastor Joe Hesh.  He is very funny and great to be around.  He is also an accomplished musician, and he wrote a song just for our wedding.  Two of the most important choices are what vows you are going to use in the service and also what you are going to do for music.  We wanted something different and more contemporary for our vows.  We found something we really liked and all was well until the morning of when Pastor Joe couldn't find them.  For music, we opted for pretty much the standard entrance and exit songs played on organ.  We got my brother Rick to play prelude music on the piano, and he also played during the lighting of the unity candle.  Usually there is also special music of some kind during the service.  I decided that I wanted to write a song for Beth and sing it during the wedding.  What an amazing adventure that turned out to be.

The Wedding Party
Choosing who will be in your wedding party can be difficult.  We decided we would keep it small and go with 2 bridesmaids and 2 groomsmen, in addition to the Maid of Honor and Best man.  We also had one flower girl.  In the absence of a ringbearer, Our best man was charged with keeping the rings in his pocket.  Click right here to meet our wedding party and see some pictures.
