The owners experiences is something strange in the mansion. The first ghost sighting was in room number 10. It was a man standing then disppearing in a few seconds. They called Kalila Katherina Smith, the author of JOURNEY INTO DARKNESS GHOSTS AND VAMPIRES book for her investigation to find out what's going on in the mansion. She experienced heaviness in her chest, the ceiling fan were back and forth and picked up some voices from her electronic voice patterning recorder. Later a psychic medium said that there is 3 different ghosts in the mansion. The ghosts name are Charles, Henry and unknown name man that might be a slave who was hung on the ground way before the mansion was built. Charles and Henry are probably used to be living in the Castle Inn or old house that was before the Castle Inn was built.
Not all guests encountered something in the Castle Inn but they enjoyed staying there. Footsteps, TV turned on and off, bed shaking, objects moved itself, and feeling someone watching are common in the Mansion. The staff always likes to know about their experiences.

End of March of 2002, Pam and I stayed in 1891 Castle Inn of New Orleans for three nights.
The first night we stayed in a Voodoo room. The Voodoo Room is a bit smaller than most rooms in the mansion but it including a king size bed, private bathroom, sofa,TV, microwave, etc. We set up a nightvision camcorder, equipments and take photographs then we went to bed. We let the camcorder recording for 4 hours during the night. I woke up several times to take more pictures, check video camcorder, etc. The third time I woke up on the same night. I picked up my camera and I was surpised that my camera's strap was tie up with the telephone's cord! I have to take the telephone out of my camera's strap loop. How did the telephone get inside my camera's strap loop? Also I found that my pants was on the floor. I knew I managed them on the hook very well. Maybe the ghost tried to take my keys? The bed and breakfast informed me that sometime ghosts take customer's keys so I tied my keys to my pants.
Second night, we moved to the Bordello room. The room is bigger than the Voodoo room and it has a king size bed, private bathroom, smaller living room and lot of antiques furnitures. We set up our equipments as we did in the Voodoo room. Nothing happened on that night.
The third night at the Bordello room, at about 1:30 in the morning, I walked to the Voodoo room hallway from the Bordello room. I need to use the microwave to warm up my pie. I saw a dark figure of a man in the corner of my eye and I turned around quickly and I saw it disppeared in one second!
I took lots of photographs in the Voodoo and Bordello rooms. The orbs are common and no mists or strand, however I got a picture somewhat unmistakable. Figure of a man in an antique mirror. It shows a face with some hair, eyes, nose or moustache and upper body.
March of 2003, The Cachel family stayed in room 10 for 3 nights. Michael got some voices and footsteps from his tape recorder, several orbs and faces on photographs and orbs are common on nightshot camcorder.
We visited haunted Lafayette No.1 Cemetery which is only 10 minutes walk from 1891 Castle Inn. We found several bones and strange photographs so no wonder why it closed at 2:30pm. More details about Lafayette No.1 Cemetery on my new page soon.
