Here are some of my favorite quotes from Ms. Richard's better-known roles through the years:

Just a cardie-wearing old grump? Hardly! While Pauline's wit and wisdom is set by the script, it is Wendy's acting skill which gives voice to the character.	She of the lion's mane and high heels, Shirley too must thank Wendy for her oh-so distinctive "glass bottle" voice and impeccable timing.

Most quotes are linked to audio files (the better to appreciate Ms. Richard's delivery of the lines!).
