Carla's "Women of the Bible" remain consistent with scripture, yet are bathed in creative possibilities. When writing, editing, or designing costumes, she prays for a pure and anointed imagination, to add depth, revelancy, realism, and color to each character. These portrayals bring the Bible to life, not necessarily through authenticity, but through the ability God has given Carla to become another person from another time. These women have the capacity to walk right into the heart.

SAMARITAN WOMAN
This "woman at the well" is portrayed as a victim of childhood sexual abuse, divorce, rejection, and is bound by fleshly passion. She is changed before our very eyes, and displays the transformation that only an encounter with Christ can bring. The Lord has a way of putting His finger on hurt places during this drama, places that have long been hidden or denied. There is an almost irresistable love that draws us to Him for healing and comfort.

MARY AND MARTHA OF BETHANY
The contrast of these two sisters is enveloped in the mutual love they have for each other. They are not portrayed as "one being right and one being wrong" as they are so often interpreted. Both are loved of the Lord, and both are servants. The zeal of Martha's servitude, and the purity of Mary's devotion bring a realistic perspective to the household of these friends of Jesus. The tendency to identify with one, and not the other is refuted. This drama deals with the loss of loved ones, culminates with deep worship, and finds ALL of us sitting at His feet.

MARY MAGDALENE: ORIGINAL SPICE GIRL
After arriving earlier at the tomb of Christ to anoint His body with spices, we find Mary Magdalene lingering, weeping. She has no other place to go, because she has no other life outside of Christ. Life itself becomes fixated when we have no vision of the living Lord.
Mary reminisces of the life she knew before meeting Jesus, which leads to demonic control of her. Then, she graphically depicts the terror of insanity, and glorious grace of the Lord's deliverance.
