and death. Flowers are associated with the center of the Universe and the soul.

Colors
Red - animal life, initiative, energy and passion.
Orange/Yellow - vitality, ego, will, individuality, purpose, creativity, friendship.
Blue - emotion, nurturance, responsiveness, spirituality, sensitivity, dreams.
Purple/Violet - prosperity, optimism, generosity, and luck.
Pink - affection, artistry, beauty, attraction, and peace.
White - purity, well-being, protection.

Folklore
Apple blossoms in April mean a good apple crop.
African marigolds will ward off blackfly & other insects.
Darling pea & lily have the power to bind someone in place.
Foxglove (fairy plant) in the house or on a ship are unlucky;
and if picked, the Faeries will be offended and bring bad luck to whomever picked it.
Honeysuckle brings bad luck if brought into the home.
Lilac worn around the neck to protect against drunkenness.
Lily is the ultimate fertility symbol & also a symbol of death.
Primrose, if kept indoors, will bring sickness and sorrow.
Roses are the symbol of love and desire.
