This is a brief statement of George Bryant a published poet... I have been writing poetry since I was 9 years old. My gradeschool teachers never thought that I would make the grade as a poet. They all said, pretty much the same thing. "I am more of a lover of poetry than a poet" They were all nice old ladies, but I persisted and proved them wrong. And I wish to share my work with others who are interested in literature and short stories prose and poetry If you are interested and would like free of charge. A poem or sci-fi story, I have also included a numerous selection of web-sites. Send request to Gsbrya@yahoo.com I will reply as soon as possible.

    Some of My Poetry

    ____________________________________ Lonely Lost and alone ********************* A very sad little boy with a runny nose - Dressed in shabby shoes and tattered clothes . Roams the city streets beginning to end - Searching for someone; to be his friend . His Mom and Dad were all that he had - Up till yesterday; they passed away. Now ; he is alone, with no-place to call his own. He cries as he searches for a friend, to take him home. His whole life ahead, and the road he travels seems without end. Cold , hungry, lost and alone; he prays for a friend. But no-one seems to even care, Nor; take notice of him being there. On and on he roams, hoping his journey will end - Wishing someone will see him; take him home and be his friend. *********************** ** December 12, ** George S. Bryant ** ************************** The Open Window The open window, letting the breeze come in… Letting my life begin. I look at the birds, they’re flying around. They’re Squawking and squaking but I hear not a sound. I look at the lovely picture and take in the view. There’s A fear running down my cheek…saying a million things but I can not speak. I let my mind wander in the daisies in the field. George S. Bryant July 26, 2002 _____________________________________ P u p p y...L o ve Strolling on the beach’s pearly white sand- Tenderly embracing, hand in hand.. Looking into eachother’s tearfilled eyes- Praying for answers to pour from the skies. They are parting ; breaking apart- Both trying to conceal their broken hearts. They are being stripped of their undying love for eachother. Each of them to home; and back to mother. Going their separate ways in sorrow- With hopes and dreams for a better tomorrow. * September 27, 1979 * ©* George S. Bryant* -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ____________________________________________ Maybe tomorrow Haveing seen you in my dreams -- I think of you when I am wide awake. But I hide out of your view- Just to catch a glimpse of you. You just pass on by; never seeing- The love, here in my eyes. This vision of you keeps appearing- Beneath my tears when I cry. To think , to dream, my way. May only lead to sorrow. Till that day, when you look my way- See me and wake me from this dream. I'll wait untill that day comes along. Maybe ; tomorrow...................... ©** George S. Bryant ** _____________________________________________________ The Beginning A little white dove; Flew overhead . As they pledged their love - The day they wed. That was long ago and far away - The love, that little white dove - The wedding day. Still it repeats, to those who love. The dove still flies - The weddings take place. No-one denies - God's precious grace.. Beginning to ending - With an eternity pending....... ************************ (C) ** May 27 ** ** George S. Bryant ************************ ____________________________________________________ IF , ONLY If I could relive my life; all over again - I would travel the world; to places I have never been. On the banks of mighty rivers; I would stride - Over those massive ocean waves; I surely would ride. I would do all of the things; I wish I had already done- Before time moves in, and removes all that's undone. Stopping only; to capture scents of flowers; as they appear. These are my wishes, the wishes I hold so dear. I will greet people; I will have known. with a friendly smile. Give understanding; try to make their lives more worthwhile. Share my thoughts; asking only for their belief - Make allowances; for those stricken in total grief. These are might have beens; I wish they could have been - If only I could relive my life; all over again. ***.... M y P a r a d i s e...**
    Heaven , as theologians have said it to be -
    God's paradise ; a place  beyond  the skies .
    I have found paradise and it is to me -
    A heavenly feeling ; each time I look into your eyes.

    It has been said ; first you must live, then you must die -
    You spend your lifetime, to acquire a heavenly place .
    Mine is here and now , whenever you sigh -
    It places me there , each time I see your face .

    You have been ; and will always be paradise to me .
    I have not a need , nor a want  for more -
    I have all that heaven is said to be -
    I have you , my paradise forever more .

    You my darling have entered my heart with loving eyes
    Only you could ever be my heaven , my paradise.

     You  I  love, specially

     I really love you, in a very special way -
      Honest and truly, believe me when I say,
       You are to me, all the good things I will ever need.
        You calm my torment, let my heart decree-
         This love deep within, I have  inside;
          So pure and dedicated, it cannot hide.

     Let me tell you, hear  the  words I say;
      I love you, I know no other way-
       Looking your way, seeing you means so much-
        Recalls to my heart when first we touched.
         Accepted my offering, my love as it was then-
          Special as it was, it is now again.

     We were young , I'm thinking back-
      How great it was then, still is, quite intact.
       I will love you till my days do end-
        You are my love, my wife, my best friend ..

       * Fantasy *

     Just put yourself in a far away place;
      Where everyone there has a smile on their face.
       A place; where mountains reach high in the sky -
        And kiss the rainclouds as they pass on by.

     Fantastic things happen, in this wonderland-
      From flying; to holding the world in the palm of your hand.
       It's a great pleasure; these sights, just to see -
        But; it can only be a very short visit to fantasy.

     It can be over; the moment you open your eyes -
      For wide awake, you seldom fantasize.
       You can recall; how great it was, while you were there.
        All that time you spent, without a care.

     You're sure to return someday; when you realize-
        That ; all you must do is relax and close your eyes.

    Me Daydreaming
    Sitting on a rainbow looking down- Watching the raindrops fall to the ground. Sights I see; so beautiful , no-one should miss- These special moments; being here like this. I look to my sides, the colors are bending . On and on ; radiance , with no ending . Streaming colors in the sky; no end can be seen. Sights like these appear; but only in a dream. Almost convinced; I am in heaven , I may stay - Or surely return; on some other day. If ever I go back from whence I came - I may tell everyone to visit; but it has no name. Meanwhile; I'll just relax and look at this colorful sky- As questions fill my mind; but, for reasons, never a why. ____________________ ^^ May ^^ (C) ^^ George S. Bryant ____________________ _______________________________________________________ ** She Stole my Soul**
    As I looked her way She beckoned me to stay I only pray, she will be mine For in reality she is a reflection Of my needs,"Maybe"- Of my wants, for "SURE". Can't we be, just friends? Why do I lust for her? It is just my human trait. Be a man, at all costs; But I turned away and was a fool. I saw again, what I had lost. © George Bryant** She Stole my Soul** __________________________________________________________ Enter Love-Exit fear
    I hear music; angelic voices singing in my ears - So soft and gentle; Forcing my eyes to a muster of tears. Seeding love; deep within our hearts,just you and I- I feel as the angels; With wings I'm able to fly. We are drifting through space, Visiting many a place; None too far. Somewhere in space, We'll plant our love within a star. With our minds and bodies; Showing their feelings so pure- Instilling in me a want,to do the undone; now that I'm sure. Feelings of love; so wonderful. Even in sadness; there's good - We have been; touched by love, and reacting; as we should. Fears we may have had, are a bother no more - They may reach out at times; but; we are sure to ignore . The love we have for each other; deep down inside - Replaces all of our fears, Filling our souls with pride ....

    * IMAGES *
    Having looked beyond your mirror; hiding from your view. Capturing visions of your beauty; reflected by you. The beauty I have seen through your eyes; deep into your soul. Has changed my life; casting me, in a different role. Had I never seen the beauty; not a pleasing idea. For what would be looking back at you? a face or fear. A careful look I take; each and every day- To keep you in my heart; in a very special way. When you look beyond your mirror; and see what I have seen- You'll see visions of beauty; you'll see my dreams. I have looked in other's eyes but; I could never see- A beauty equal to your's, that's been given to me. Your image; in my eyes, is worth more than silver or gold- Reminding me of the many priceless treasures; that I hold. - ** George S. Bryant ** (C) ___________________________________________________________________ **Bonded Memories** How do we separate memories - When they are bonded to our eyes ? How do we take the clouds away - From never ending skies ? How do we, not remember; What used to be ? When all around us is still. The only sounds are heartbeats. Little really changes; only places. Time still rambles onward. Memories remain, as life goes on. The same clouds swirl in endless skies. Just as these memories of life, with you- They are bonded, here in my eyes. . **************************** ** Written March 4, ** (C) ** ..George S. Bryant.. ** **************************** ________________________________________________________________________ YOU ARE OUT THERE I am covered in the shadows, this fiery night - Death ! all around; filling me with fright. Cannons blasting , ringing in my ears . Feeling myself drowning in my tears.. I cry for you, as you feel for me - My eyes so blinded, I barely see. The crash and flash of powder - Pounding of brick and steel, getting louder. You must be out there, this I know - I can't see nor hear but; I feel it so. It is now, I know of your existence - I can't see you, I sence your presence . Yes my LORD! you, who have put me here- To accomplish what ? only a tear.. ** MARCH 7, *** (C) ** GEORGE S. If; But, For A Time ..

         You ; could stay with me
         for a little while-
         We would share and care; for a time.
         Glance an occasional smile,
         Get to  know one another;
         sip a little wine.

         Let  our  thoughts  mingle,
         with unspoken word-
         While the world around us,
         Is silent; can not be heard.

         Alone  together; if  you  agree-
         Let your mind drift,flowing to me.
         If this moment were real;as I wish it may
         I would savor this time; till my dying day..

         But ; it's only a dream, this can't be true.
         Just as these glasses I fill for two.
         They will be drank by one-
         For; I realize, there is no you..

So forceful, there are times I barely see - But I feel the warmth within. I'm alive; It's part of life - And happy to be. Even in strife - When I can not see. I sense the clouds passing by- I feel the breeze. My head tilts toward the sky- I fall to my knees. In silence, I pray - LORD; please give to me, just one more day.. ********************** (C) ** February * ** George Bryant * **********************

            Life; As Pebbles In The Sand
    ***********************************.
    With or without your blessing, life will reach it's destiny-
    Face reality, life is what you make it to be.
    To change the oncoming tide is but a dream-
    It will come in, but not always washing the pebbles clean.
    .
    In your journey, there are times life seems not the same-
    The pebbles are digging deeper, you're walking a little lame.
    In moments of discontent you must take care-
    You are slipping on the pebbles, they are always there.
    .
    The pebbles, never the same, though they seem to be.
    You can be the person you were meant to be.
    Listen to another's point of view; with an open mind-
    The pebbles may be digging deeper, but you're sure to find -
    .
    This same story being told in a different way-
    It's the story of life as it moves on, day after day.

     Forget   The  Past

      If  you're  confused;
      nowhere  to  turn;
      You  look behind-
      there is no place to go.
      All your bridges have been burned-
      Your options used; but there is hope-
      If  you  can  keep your  head;
      as a wise man once said,
      You may  save  the day-
      by  finding  your  way.
      Put your mind on the future,
      give it your best,
      You  can  be  sure-
      you  will  endure, "FAITH",---
      God's way of putting you to the test.

      To handle these hardships of life,
      We must go on living.
      don't give in, it would be a sin,
      For which; there is no forgiving.
      You can hope  for fame; riches;
      Most anything.
      But; you will get,
      only what you have earned.
      Go  on your way, live your life;
      Bridges ahead, take care,
      They are always there.
      Cross them, don't turn back
      to those that are burned-
      For, you'll have nothing.

      You will see  changes,
      Fear and despair.
      are always there.
      Don't  be afraid,
      the life you made,
      is your's alone  to live.
      Travel along,  that winding road,
      A song in your heart,
      A smile  on your face.
      Greet  people you meet,
      they are all a part of the puzzle;
      The human race.
      With bridges past  burned,
      they can't turn back.
      They and you; on the road,
      The winding road of no return ....
