I
am but one-quarter Acadian, the rest English, pleased to know that my latter
ancestors took no part in the cataclysmic denouement that befell my Acadian
fathers and mothers from 1755-63. Because their story intrigues me, I have been
a student of Acadian history for some forty years and the greater part of the
genealogical data (through at least 1900) presented here is based on personal
research of original sources viewed and recorded from 1962 to 1977 B. C.*. No material on this
site derives of any computer-based sources. While I had considerable contact
with other Acadian scholars over the years, the views and observations
described here are mine alone, with no implied suggestion that they are shared
by any of those men and none should be inferred. Additional material will be added periodically to this
site. The last up-date was: APR 2004
