Kismet is Turkish for Fate. The serpent (snake) is a symbol of reincarnation, shedding the old and become brilliant and new again. It is a symbol in India of the Kudalini energy and the spinal system. It is the symbol of eternal life when viewed as the ouroboros (the snake eating it's own tail), and it is a symbol of sensuality and creativity.
