My Testimony
The year was nineteen forty two, the first year of the war. I was eighteen years old, and I became a Christian!
How did this happen? My family went to a different church. It was a different church for us. Also, the church was different from many other churches. For example, it had a sign over the pulpit that said, "By all means save some." These are the closing words of I Cor. 9:22. Different in another way, the Preacher would say, every Sunday morning before starting his sermon, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation." I did not know that these words were verses from the Bible, Romans 10:9,10. But these words were important to me. Also, I heard, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." I invited Christ into my heart, trusting in His blood shed on the cross for me. I became a Christian!
This was the first year of the war. One day, I received a letter from the President of the United States. It said, "Greetings!" I was in the Army!
My Lord Jesus Christ went with me in the Army!
My Lord went with me on my trip to Europe!
My Lord went with me into the battles of the war!
My Lord went with me on my trip to the United States, back to my home!
My Lord gave me a wonderful wife, and two sons!
My Lord gave me six grandchildren, four boys and two girls!
Come to the Lord Jesus Christ! Come and receive Salvation! "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."
