MIDI Reference
Since I am adding MIDI files to my various pages, I realize some people need help setting MIDI up to work with their computer.
You must have a sound card (any computer from the past 2 or 3 years probably does, if you're not sure, go ahead and try.) If you don't have a MIDI program, MIDIGate can be downloaded from PRS Software (all copyrights and such are PRS software). It has a PC file, download and run the program. Then you have to set the file up for your browser.
You need to have Quicktime 2.0 or newer with Quicktime Musical Instruments in your system's extensions folder and Arnolds Midi Player (shareware, see http://www.planete/~amasson/amp. html). You must have the appropriate MIDI plug in your browsers extensions folder. You can download one from this page. (If you're still having problems check out The Macintosh MIDI User's Internet Guide.)
Then depending on your browser you will need to set up the utility.
