Lodi competition

This was a long day with an early start. 4 busses, two trailers and numerous parent vehicles pulled out of Folsom High at 05:40. Jazz Band B competed at 07:30. The Parade band stepped off at 11:00, and Jazz Band A competed at 1:00. Then to the park for well deserved break and lunch. The Marching band performed on the field at 8:00, awards were over by 10:15. The busses arrived back at the school at about 11:15. The bands performed well and won several awards beginning with a first place finish Division A for street parade. 4 out of 16 Jazz Bands received "superior" ratings (all ones). Two were from Folsom. Jazz Band B won 4th place overall, Jazz Band A took sweepstakes. In Field Show, the band won 3rd place in Division A The tired but jubilant students are looking forward to competing at Napa next weekend!
