Since I graduated college in 1992, I have been collecting notes on my PC, describing how to perform useful feats of programming. A couple years ago my hard disk melted down, and I was surprised to find that not all those notes had been backed up. Now I am slowly and painfully re-learning what I thought I had known.

The primary purpose of this page is to record this knowledge (again), while taking advantage of the professional backup practices of the webmasters. I am assuming that if my host crashes, this will all re-appear magically without my knowledge that it had ever gone away.
