During these uncertain times, it has become necessary to implement security and parking restrictions at Defense Supply Center Richmond to promote the safety and security of both persons and property. The security posture of the Supply Center is thusly determined by the setting of the Force Protection Condition (FPCON). It is anticipated that FPCON BRAVO or CHARLIE will be in effect during for the forseeable future. Under each of these force protection conditions, access to the Supply Center is via the rear gate only, accessible from the Strathmore Road exit on Chippenham Parkway. The front, main gate to the Supply Center is barricaded, so do not plan to enter this gate.
Upon entering the installation, every person will be required to present a photo ID to gain access. If asked, inform the sentry that you are attending the function at the Bellwood Club. Vehicles should have a current Department of Defense registration sticker. Some vehicles may be subject to random search. The FPCON in effect at the Supply Center is posted on a small brown placard on the front of the gatehouse at the rear gate entrance. | Patrons must enter the rear gate, but are allowed to drive up to the Bellwood Club, discharge passengers, and park in either the Bellwood Club Parking Lot, or one of the parking areas adjacent to the Branch Medical Clinic, Community Recreation Area, or the Visiting Officers Quarters. Handicapped persons should park in the marked spaces adjacent to the club or in the Bellwood Club parking lot. |
| Patrons must enter the rear gate. Driving to and parking at the Bellwood Club is prohibited. Patrons will be required to park their vehicles in Parking Lot #9 adjacent to the Defense Distribution Depot Richmond Headquarters Building, located on the main access road leading into the Supply Center from the rear gate. There they will board shuttle buses for transportation to the Bellwood Club. A sign for Lot #9 is located on the right side of the access road, immediately prior to the Defense Distribution Depot Richmond signpost. Persons with handicaps which preclude boarding the shuttle buses, should plan to ride with another member. Such persons may be driven to the Bellwood Club, but the vehicle and driver must return to Parking Lot #9 to use shuttle bus transportation. |
After entering the Defense Supply Center via the rear gate located off the Strathmore Road exit on Chippenham Parkway, follow the main access road past the Defense Depot Richmond until you reach the intersection in front of the Water Filtration Pond (the DSC Firehouse will be on your immediate right). Make a left turn at this intersection and continue to follow the main road, bearing to the right at the next intersection as you pass the Day Care Center (located on the right side of the road). Continue to follow the main road until you reach the intersection for access to the Bellwood Club and DSC Richmond Headquarters Building (the main gate will be immediately in front of you). Turn right into the parking area and proceed up the hill to the Bellwood Club.
