Spring

Wild geese ~ passing, passing.
Blue jays ~ sassing, sassing.
Mother Robin pulls a worm,
Each nestling takes a turn
People smile, and say "Howdy."
Not a day, to be cloudy!
The air is sweet with bee hum,
Children shout, and jump and run.
Buds peek out, to share the cheer,
Right on time, again this year.
I'm so lucky to share the scene,
Everything so green ~ and clean.
Winter is gone ~ it's past, it's past.
Spring is here ~ at last, at last.

Baby Boy Gray

Curt is pert, and precious, you see,
Wraps Granny 'round his finger, then does as he please.
Loves Mom, with all his might,
But won't go to bed, without a grand fight.
Yells at his sister, 'Put down them toys.
You are a girl, And they are for boys.'
Does Kung-Fu, with the best.
But wait a minute, Dad, I need a little rest.
Goes ninety miles an hour, all day long.
Then curls in your lap, for a snooze and a song.
Enjoy him now, time goes so fast.
Baby talk and gapped teeth, they will not last.
Tomorrow will find him, a full-grown man.
Walking tall, in this beautiful land.
So tuck him in gently, when you kiss him good night.
And thank your God, for this precious sight.

Wedding Day

We live to see
around another bend.
We shall not pass
this way again.
We have the stars
to guide our way.
For our bed,
the sweet-smelling hay.
Our dawns are crisp
with pure delight.
(By the way)
How was your night?
I can see in thine eyes
Thou wouldst be mine.
Together forever,
through space and time.
Our souls laid bare,
our spirits set free.
To belong to you,
you to me.
Today, my darling,
we shall be troth'd.
How delightful,
When one can be both!
