What is York Rite Masonry? York Rite Symbols

York Rite Masonry is a completion of Freemasonry. Master Masons are expected to travel, symbolically, in search of knowledge, referred to as Masonic Light. There are gaps in the stories a Master Mason receives in the first three degrees of Ancient Craft Masonry. York Rite Masonry fills in those gaps and expounds on what a Master Mason has already learned.

If you are a Master Mason, then you have already stepped onto the road toward increased knowledge. As a Master Mason, are you travelling? Travelling implies movement, not standing still, and always seeking knowledge and understanding. When travelling, it's always easier to get where you are going if you use a map. The York Rite is an organized road map to further Masonic Light.

Have you learned everything you wanted to learn about Freemasonry? If not, then travel with us into the York Rite Bodies.
