Life in the 1920s . . . what must it have been like to be young and free in such a time? Things couldn't be nearly so carefree as they pretended it was. They were weighed down by the past of the nation, by the weight that always comes with trying to break free of a past, from its traditions and rules. It was not all beauty, youth, and light. Nor was it all darkness.
I can only hope I've managed to convey something of the period through the stories on this page. I try my best, but I'm more hopeful that the characters are real and human than that I am completely historically accurate in manner and thought and speech.
