This Internet Web site is for everyone descended from Friedrich Carl Christlieb and Anna Catharina Engle Bock, who married 22 July 1742 in the town of Bad Dürkheim, Germany. Later, they sailed with their family to America, eventually settling in Pennsylvania and what is now West Virginia. </p> <p>     The Association formed in 1983, when about 400 descendants of Friedrich Carl and Anna Catharina Christlieb gathered in Philippi, West Virginia to become acquainted with one another. Those attending agreed to hold a national reunion every other year. The group formally organized the Christlieb-Chrislip-Crislip Family Association in 1985 and incorporated it as a nonprofit organization. Since then, biennial reunions alternate between Pennsylvania and West Virginia. </p> <p>     At the 1997 reunion in Fairmont, West Virginia, the Association's Executive Council agreed to have a Christlieb-Chrislip-Crislip Family Association site on the World Wide Web, to help link all Association members having Internet access and anyone else interested in the Christlieb-Chrislip-Crislip Family.
