to solder the pigtail on the magneto coil wire it broke other than sharping the blade it is in great shape for as much as i us it. new plug cleaned the maneato and masgnets tested ok it has spark 11:40 PM 05/05/2003 repaired magneato pigtail by soldering the wire onto the round solderless connector removed the carbertor and the bowl check to see if the flot was stuck it appears ok did not blow up the gas hole. it looks ok. enough gas buzz the brain can not take huffing to much gas 12:29 PM 05/12/2003 the lawn boy mower was doing the same thing it would start \and run if i pressed the prime button and forced gas up the is it a metering rod or ventruri i do now the tube with the hole that the gas goes up by preszsureizing the fuel bowl or vacume via the piston sroke so any way dissaambel the carborator and took apart the flote and by my neighbors harry sugestion test to see if float still floats it does tested the float in the substance it is designed to float in a funnel of gas cleaned the outside of the carb and used the bicycle pump and a piece of fish tank tubing to blow up the metering tube / venturi / tube were the gas goes up and the prime hole and the other 2 holes i really know were they go. did not disassemble the choke flap or the throttle stick just cleaned the outside area of the throttle stick reassembled the carborator and started the engin right up and cut my little lawn. oh by the way i was able to used a stone the other day to act as a cholke that diverst the vaccum to the metering rod and suck more fuel up to the carb to cut the police lawn. the mower was weak but it worked and when blowing the bicycle pump bauburn potyiable bicycle pump with the option adjustable end for a schrader valve and regular valve that the fish tank tubing works perfectly for up the metering rod fule tube i think there may have been a slight restriction i never know so this process got the mower running for my little lawn let see if can cut mcdonalds lawn 12:08 PM 07/19/2003 lawn boy mower model 7268 ser 8545063 pull start recoil sapring broke 10:44 PM 07/28/2003 blade is bent from hitting the fence poles at the 8th district there cut off short and need to be dug up the poles are along the relocated fence at the north west corner of the 8th philadelphia police district the recoil broke and the butterfly on the choke is gone the engine started racing like it was running out of fuel 10:56 PM 07/29/2003 repaired the butterfly in the throat of the carborator by drilling a hole and punching out the butterfly usung staindes of wire to wrap and make a tube like shaft for the choke shaft repaired the outer edge of the recoil spring the hook bent straight removed the blade heated it strainten it and sharpened it. got the inner part of the cas cap out of the gas tank and installed it back in the gas cap put a couple of more kinks in the lid to hold it in tedst it ok running the lawnmower on my lawn for a while it seem to be fine altough after getting warm the throutel did not s,low in the slow position on the throttle lever. checked the butterfly at the end of cutting the grass it is ok i am going to run it this way to see how long it last. the tip also broke of the end of the choke shaft it is little tiny piece of plastic to keep the shaft centered. so to go back to original a choke shaft and the butterfly would be required. but it is working now i am going to run it this way 11:48 PM 08/14/2003 the butterfly is wide open the wire strap did not hold it ran great and not over reving. but it started to get a little rough and i suspect the spark is having probles Ill change the spark plug 11:02PM 9/22/03 lawn boy has no spark new plug ground wire ok 9:51PM 9/23/03 lawn boy trouble no spark too of the cd unit (coil) and gapped it to 1 piece of paper from the magnet armature and i felt a jolt but still did not see a spark. changed the pull cord and the air filter (USED a grill pad for a filter to replace the 3m sponge/ scrubby pad and it started this all might be air related since the sponge was soaked with fuel and the choke butterfly is wide open it is cooler outside and who knows well the pull cord is to long i have to figure out the right lengh later but i was able to cut lawn with all kinds of trouble the spring on the pull cord broke at the outer end the cord coiled aroung the spline once and had a hard time cutting the thick wet hight grass but i completed it 11:17 PM 09/25/2003 cut a section of the 8th district lawn lost the right wing nut for the handle bars and there is no screws holdinmg the inner to black plactic part for the choke air chaNNEL and the lid front screw is gone but i completed 1 section put a new plug in the other day i trhink it is a cj14 12:45 PM 09/28/2003 installed 2 new plastic handle wing nuts and lock washers drilled the lower part of the choke air channel to accecpt #12 x 3/4 stainless steel screws to mount the black piece of plastic. adjusted the pull cord so it does not wind to the end and bind. it is running good again 1 0:49 AM 07/25/2004 installed reed valve but the mower won't start mabe dirt in the reeed valve. and the chock seems backwards with the new chock shaft ill try to fix it today 3:24 PM 08/08/2004 I do recall hitting a fence poll cut off but not removed from yhe grounds of the 8th philadelphia pa police district but the mowqer has
