We purchased our BGT in 1979 from the second owner. It had 61,000 showing on the odo, but we were advised the actual mileage was 75,000. The car served as a daily (almost) driver until 1999. I performed a "street restoration" in 1981 and the car is waiting patiently for a full restoration.
