| If you have an original
recipe that you would like to share, email
me and I'll post it.
As I have said before, all-veggie
recipes are easier to work with if you are a beginner. They cook
much faster and are less tricky. I recommend this one if you are
just starting out.
For now, here's a nice little recipe
to get you started:
-
25 ounces olive oil
-
5 ounces coconut oil
-
10 ounces water
-
4 ounces lye
Weigh the coconut oil and melt it.
Add the olive oil while it is at room temperature. Add the lye to
the water and stir it until it is dissolved. Add the lye water to
the oils and stir it with the stick blender until it traces (a couple of
minutes). I like to cook this one for 5 minutes on medium heat (checking
and stirring with the stick blender after 2, 4 and 5 minutes), and then
cook it on high for 2 minutes or until it keeps bubbling when I open the
door. Once it starts bubbling, I take it out of the microwave and
stir it until it stops bubbling (champagne bubbles). At this point it is
usually done.
I'll post more so keep checking
back, and sending them in.
