The Highest Religion --- The Highest Spirituality

   In regard to religion and spiritual truth I have slowly come to 
   the following viewpoint.  It is that the essence of the highest 
   religion, the highest spirituality, can be summarized as the 
   following: 

     1. Reverence and love for God
     2. Pursuit of Honesty, Justice, Goodness, Decency, Concern for 
        others and other virtues
     3. Firm belief in Reason and Common Sense

   What is not deep religion, deep spirituality is much 
   churchgoing, much religious cant, preoccupation with 
   theological ideas and doctrine, and great involvement in church 
   activities i.e. religious fanaticism.  True religion has mental 
   and emotional balance.
