On Temper

He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding:
But he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

                                                Prov 14:29

Whoever has no rule over his own spirit
Is like a city broken down, without walls.

                                      Prov 25:28

Bad temper bites at both ends. It makes one's self nearly as
miserable as it does other people.

Good temper oils the wheels of life.

Temper is a revelation of an unloving nature at bottom.

                                              H. Drummond

He submits to be seen through a microscope who suffers himself
to be caught in a passion.
                                               Lavater
