On Religion
He does not believe that does not live according to his belief.
Much religion, but no goodness.
Much praying, but no piety.
Void of purity in morals, faith is but a hypocrite of words.
To suppose that people can be saved by studying and giving
assent to formulae is like supposing that one can get to
Timbuktu by poring over a map of Africa.
Aldous Huxley
When religion is made a science there is nothing more
intricate; when it is made a duty, there is nothing more easy.
If we make religion our business, God will make it our
blessedness.
Henry Gardiner Adams
