On Peaceableness

Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house
full of sacrifices with strife. Prov 17:1

Go not forth hastily to strive, lest thou know not what to do
in the end thereof, when thy neighbour hath put thee to shame.
                                                   Prov 25:8

He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to
him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears. Prov 26:17

He is happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his
   home.
                                                             Goethe

Who seeks a quarrel, finds it near at hand.

                                                Italian Proverb

He who sows discord will reap regret.

                                               Arabian Proverb

Anger is as a stone cast into a wasp's nest.

                                                Indian Proverb

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with
   all men. Rom 12:18

And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto
all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those
that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them
repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 2 Tim 2:24-25
