Way of true Christianity

1 Tim 6:11 Thou, O man of God ... follow after righteousness,
   godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

2 Tim 2:19 Let every one that nameth the name of Christ
depart from iniquity. {22} Flee also youthful lusts: but
follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that
call on the Lord out of a pure heart. {24} And the servant of
the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to
teach, patient, {25} In meekness instructing those that oppose
themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to
   the acknowledging of the truth;

Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, {23} Meekness,
temperance: against such there is no law.

Gal 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one
   another, envying one another.

Rom 12:9-21 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that
which is evil; cleave to that which is good. {10} Be kindly
affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour
preferring one another; {11} Not slothful in business; fervent
in spirit; serving the Lord; {12} Rejoicing in hope; patient in
tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; {13} Distributing to
the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. {14} Bless them
which persecute you: bless, and curse not. {15} Rejoice with
them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. {16} Be of
the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but
condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own
conceits. {17} Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide
things honest in the sight of all men. {18} If it be possible,
   as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. {19}
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place
unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay,
   saith the Lord. {20} Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him;
if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap
coals of fire on his head. {21} Be not overcome of evil, but
   overcome evil with good.

1 Cor 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not
inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither
fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,
nor sodomites, {10} nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards,
nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Gal 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which
are these: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
{20} Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath,
strife, seditions, heresies, {21} Envyings, murders,
drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of the which I tell you
before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which
do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you
that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
{2} With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering,
forbearing one another in love; (17) This I say therefore, and
testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other
Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, {18} Having the
understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God
through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness
of their heart: {19} Who being past feeling have given
themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness
with greediness. (22) That ye put off concerning the former
conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the
deceitful lusts; {23} And be renewed in the spirit of your
mind; {24} And that ye put on the new man, which after God is
created in righteousness and true holiness. {25} Wherefore
putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour:
for we are members one of another. {26} Be ye angry, and sin
not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: {27} Neither give
place to the devil. {28} Let him that stole steal no more: but
rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which
is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. {29} Let
no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that
which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister
grace unto the hearers. {30} And grieve not the holy Spirit of
God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. {31} Let
all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil
speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: {32} And be ye
kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even
as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Eph 5:1-12 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear
children; {2} And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us,
and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to
God for a sweetsmelling savour. {3} But fornication, and all
uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among
you, as becometh saints; {4} Neither filthiness, nor foolish
talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather
giving of thanks. {5} For this ye know, that no whoremonger,
nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath
any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. {6} Let no
man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things
   cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. {7}
Be not ye therefore partakers with them. {8} For ye were
sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as
children of light: {9} (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all
goodness and righteousness and truth;) {10} Proving what is
acceptable unto the Lord. {11} And have no fellowship with the
unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. {12} For
it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of
them in secret. (15) See then that ye walk circumspectly, not
as fools, but as wise, {16} Redeeming the time, because the
days are evil. {17} Wherefore be ye not unwise, but
understanding what the will of the Lord is. {18} And be not
drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the
Spirit; {19} Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the
Lord; {20} Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the
   Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

   Phil 2:3-4   Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory;
but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than
themselves. {4} Look not every man on his own things, but every
man also on the things of others.

Col 3:5-10 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the
earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil
concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: {6} For
which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of
disobedience: {7} In the which ye also walked some time, when
ye lived in them. {8} But now ye also put off all these: anger,
wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your
mouth. {9} Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off
the old man with his deeds; {10} And have put on the new man,
which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that
   created him:

Col 3:12-15 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and
beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind,
meekness, longsuffering; {13} Forbearing one another, and
forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any:
even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. {14} And above all
these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
{15} And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which
also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

1 Th 4:3-4 For this is the will of God, even your
   sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: {4}
That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in
sanctification and honour; {7} For God hath not called us
   unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

Eph 6:10-18 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and
in the power of his might. {11} Put on the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
{12} For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places. {13} Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having
done all, to stand. {14} Stand therefore, having your loins
girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of
righteousness; {15} And your feet shod with the preparation of
the gospel of peace; {16} Above all, taking the shield of
faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts
of the wicked. {17} And take the helmet of salvation, and the
sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: {18} Praying
always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and
watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for
   all saints;

Rom 13:1-10 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.
For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are
ordained of God. {2} Whosoever therefore resisteth the power,
resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall
receive to themselves damnation. {3} For rulers are not a
terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be
afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have
praise of the same: {4} For he is the minister of God to thee
for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he
beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a
   revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. {5}
Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but
also for conscience sake. {6} For for this cause pay ye tribute
also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon
this very thing. {7} Render therefore to all their dues:
tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to
whom fear; honour to whom honour. {8} Owe no man any thing, but
to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled
the law. {9} For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou
shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false
witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other
commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. {10} Love worketh no
ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the
   law.

Rom 13:12-14 Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness,
and let us put on the armor of light. {13} Let us walk
properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in
lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. {14} But put on the
Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to
   fulfill its lusts.

Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but
righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Rom 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make
for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

Rom 16:19 I would have you wise unto that which is good, and
   simple concerning evil.

1 Cor 12:31 And yet show I unto you a more excellent way.
13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and
have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling
cymbal. {2} And though I have the gift of prophecy, and
understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have
all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not
charity, I am nothing. {3} And though I bestow all my goods to
feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have
not charity, it profiteth me nothing. {4} Charity suffereth
long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not
itself, is not puffed up, {5} Doth not behave itself unseemly,
   seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
   {6} Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; {7}
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things,
   endureth all things.

2 Cor 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved,
let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and
spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Phil 2:14-15 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
{15} That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God,
without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation,
   among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise, think on these things.

1 Th 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children
of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

1 Th 5:14-15 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are
unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient
toward all men. {15} See that none render evil for evil unto
any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among
yourselves, and to all men. {22} Abstain from all
   appearance of evil.

1 Tim 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a
pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

1 Tim 4:7,8 Exercise yourself to Godliness. For bodily
exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all
things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that
   which is to come.

1 Tim 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an
example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in charity, in
   spirit, in faith, in purity.

1 Tim 6:6-8 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
For we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can
carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be
   therewith content.

Heb 13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; and be
content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will
never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Titus 1:7-9 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of
God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no
striker, not given to filthy lucre; {8} But a lover of
   hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
{9} Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that
he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince
   the gainsayers.

Titus 2:1-12 But speak thou the things which become sound
doctrine: {2} That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate,
sound in faith, in charity, in patience. {3} The aged women
likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not
false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good
things; {4} That they may teach the young women to be sober, to
love their husbands, to love their children, {5} To be
discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own
husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. {6} Young men
likewise exhort to be sober minded. {7} In all things showing
thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing
uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, {8} Sound speech, that
cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may
be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. {9} Exhort
servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please
them well in all things; not answering again; {10} Not
purloining, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn
the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. {11} For the
grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
{12} Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,
we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present
   world;

Titus 3:1-3 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities
and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good
work, {2} To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but
gentle, showing all meekness unto all men. {3} For we ourselves
also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving
divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful,
   and hating one another.

Titus 3:8-9 This is a faithful saying, and these things I
will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed
in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things
are good and profitable unto men. {9} But avoid foolish
questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings
about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without
which no man shall see the Lord:

James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be
swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity
of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word,
which is able to save your souls.

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the
Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their
affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure,
then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy
and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that
the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever
therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

1 Peter 1:13-17 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be
sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be
brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; {14} as
obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former
lusts, as in your ignorance; {15} but as He who called you is
holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, {16} because it is
written, "Be holy, for I am holy." {17} And if you call on the
Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's
work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here
   in fear;

1 Peter 2:1-2 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all
deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, {2} as newborn
babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow
   thereby,

1 Pet 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,
an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth
the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his
   marvellous light:

1 Peter 2:11-25 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and
pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the
soul, {12} having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles,
that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by
your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of
visitation. {13} Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance
of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme,
{14} or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the
punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do
good. {15} For this is the will of God, that by doing good you
may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men; {16} as free,
yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants
of God. {17} Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God.
Honor the king. {18} Servants, be submissive to your masters
with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the
harsh. {19} For this is commendable, if because of conscience
toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. {20} For
what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you
take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take
it patiently, this is commendable before God. {21} For to this
you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving
us an example, that you should follow His steps: {22} "Who
committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth"; {23} who,
when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He
suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who
judges righteously; {24} who Himself bore our sins in His own
body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for
righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed. {25} For you
were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the
Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

1 Peter 3:1-4 Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own
husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without
a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, {2} when they
observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. {3} Do not let
your adornment be merely outward; arranging the hair, wearing
gold, or putting on fine apparel; {4} rather let it be the
hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a
gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of
   God.

1 Peter 3:8-18 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having
compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted,
be courteous; {9} not returning evil for evil or reviling for
reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were
called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. {10} For "He
who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his
tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. {11} Let
him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and
pursue it. {12} For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the
LORD is against those who do evil." {13} And who is he who will
harm you if you become followers of what is good? {14} But even
if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed.
   "And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled." {15}
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready
to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the
hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; {16} having a good
conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who
revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. {17} For it
is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good
than for doing evil. {18} For Christ also suffered once for
sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God,
being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,

1 Peter 4:8-9 And above all things have fervent love for one
another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins." {9} Be
hospitable to one another without grumbling.

1 Peter 5:5-8 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves
to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another,
and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But
gives grace to the humble." {6} Therefore humble yourselves
under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due
time, {7} casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
{8} Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil
walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

2 Peter 1:5-8 But also for this very reason, giving all
   diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, {6}
to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to
perseverance godliness, {7} to godliness brotherly kindness,
and to brotherly kindness love. {8} For if these things are
yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in
the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 John 1:5-10 This is the message which we have heard from
Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no
darkness at all. {6} If we say that we have fellowship with
Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the
truth. {7} But if we walk in the light as He is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus
Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. {8} If we say that we
have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
{9} If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive
us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. {10} If
we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His
   word is not in us.

1 John 2:9-11 He who says he is in the light, and hates his
brother, is in darkness until now. {10} He who loves his
brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for
stumbling in him. {11} But he who hates his brother is in
darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is
going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

1 John 2:15-17 Do not love the world or the things in the
world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not
in him. {16} For all that is in the world; the lust of the
flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life; is not of
the Father but is of the world. {17} And the world is passing
away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God
   abides forever.

1 John 3:14-18 We know that we have passed from death to
life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his
brother abides in death. {15} Whoever hates his brother is a
murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life
abiding in him. {16} By this we know love, because He laid down
His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for
the brethren. {17} But whoever has this world's goods, and sees
his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does
the love of God abide in him? {18} My little children, let us
not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

1 John 4:7-13 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is
of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
{8} He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
{9} In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God
has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might
live through Him. {10} In this is love, not that we loved God,
but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation
for our sins. {11} Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought
to love one another. {12} No one has seen God at any time. If
we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been
perfected in us. {13} By this we know that we abide in Him, and
He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

1 John 4:20-21 If someone says, "I love God," and hates his
brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother
whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
{21} And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves
God must love his brother also.

Mat 5:1-12 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a
mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto
him: {2} And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
{3} Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the
kingdom of heaven. {4} Blessed are they that mourn: for
they shall be comforted. {5} Blessed are the meek: for
they shall inherit the earth. {6} Blessed are they which
do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall
be filled. {7} Blessed are the merciful: for they shall
obtain mercy. {8} Blessed are the pure in heart: for they
shall see God. {9} Blessed are the peacemakers: for they
shall be called the children of God. {10} Blessed are they
which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs
is the kingdom of heaven. {11} Blessed are ye, when men
shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all
   manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. {12}
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward
in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were
   before you.

Mat 5:38-46 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye
for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: {39} But I say unto
you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite
   thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. {40}
And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy
coat, let him have thy cloak also. {41} And whosoever
   shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. {42}
Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would
borrow of thee turn not thou away. {43} Ye have heard that
it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate
thine enemy. {44} But I say unto you, Love your enemies,
bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you, and
persecute you; {45} That ye may be the children of your
Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise
on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just
and on the unjust. {46} For if ye love them which love
you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the
   same?

Mat 6:1-6 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men,
to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your
Father which is in heaven. {2} Therefore when thou doest
thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the
hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that
they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They
have their reward. {3} But when thou doest alms, let not
thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: {4} That
thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in
secret himself shall reward thee openly. {5} And when thou
prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they
love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners
of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say
unto you, They have their reward. {6} But thou, when thou
prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut
thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy
Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Mat 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon
earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves
break through and steal: {20} But lay up for yourselves
treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth
corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
{21} For where your treasure is, there will your heart be
   also.

Mat 7:1-4 Judge not, that ye be not judged. {2} For with
what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what
   measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. {3}
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's
eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own
eye? {4} Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull
out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in
   thine own eye?

Mat 20:25-28 But Jesus called them unto him, and said,
Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion
over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon
them. {26} But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever
   will be great among you, let him be your minister; {27}
And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your
servant: {28} Even as the Son of man came not to be
ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a
   ransom for many.

Mat 22:35-40 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked
him a question, tempting him, and saying, {36} Master,
which is the great commandment in the law? {37} Jesus said
unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy
   heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. {38}
This is the first and great commandment. {39} And the
second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as
thyself. {40} On these two commandments hang all the law
   and the prophets.
