LION JOSEPH M. BACH ~ Everyday Hero

LINEBORO-MANCHESTER LIONS CLUB

Joseph M. Bach has been a Lions Club member since 1994. He transferred to the Lineboro-Manchester Lions Club in 2002. Since then he has held several club offices and has been on numerous committees, most notably the Annual Crab Feast, Shrimp Feed, Oyster & Bull Roasts and the Special Olympics Swim Party. Lion Joe became President of the Lineboro-Manchester Lions Club in 2004. He served as Region IV Zone II Chairman for the 2005-2006 Lions year. The Lineboro-Manchester Lions Club presented Lion Joe the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship in 2007.

The Lineboro-Manchester Lions Club is most proud of Lion Joe for serving as the Club’s Community Swimming Pool Committee Chairman for the past 4 years. Without Lion Joe’s perseverance and guidance, the Swimming Pool Committee would probably never have been able to accomplish the over $100,000 in renovations and improvements that were done to the pool in 2006. “Bulldozer Joe” as he is now known in several circles, has accomplished a lot in making the club’s swimming pool one of the finest in Carroll County.

Lion Joe Bach has not only been an excellent example for other Lions Club members, but he has involved his entire family in the Lions Club Community. Everything from fund raisers and community service projects to making sure those in the community that are less fortune have clothes and food throughout the year.
