Entire route was route 31 before 1926.
Napoleon to Grand Rapids certified as route 110 in 1943.
Grand Rapids to 1 mile north of Grand Rapids certified as route 578 in
1943.
In 1943, routing from Napoleon to 1 mile north of Grand Rapids changed
to follow that of current routes 424 and 24.
2 miles south of current route 475 to Toledo upgraded to four lanes by
1946.
Bypass 24 added around Toledo along current routes 20, 246, 184, and an
