  • Certified in 1935.
  • Originally routed along current route 588 from Rio Grande to Gallipolis.
  • Entire route was route 11 before 1935.
  • In 1956, upgraded to four lanes from current location of Beavercreek to Xenia.
  • Indiana state line to 2 miles east of Indiana state line rerouted along route 70 in 1962.
  • Dayton to current location of Beavercreek upgraded to four lanes in 1962.
  • Richmond Dale to 5 miles east of Richmond Dale upgraded to four lanes in 1962.
  • 5 miles west of route 104 to route 104 upgraded to four lanes by 1966.
  • Chillicothe bypass added as a two-lane highway by 1966.
  • Chillicothe bypass upgraded to freeway in 1969.
  • Winchester to Centerville upgraded to divided highway in 1969.
