  • Original state highway.
  • Originally routed from Lancaster to Marietta along current route 37 from Lancaster to 1 mile west of Malta, route 78 from 1 mile west of Malta to McConnelsville, and route 60 from McConnelsville to Marietta.
  • Findlay to Marseilles and Granville to Luray were unnumbered before 1931.
  • Findlay to Marseilles and Granville to Luray were route 47 from 1931-32.
  • Marseilles to Granville was route 47 before 1932.
  • In 1932, extended to Findlay along previous route 79 from Lancaster to Luray and previous route 47 from Luray to Findlay.
  • McConnelsville to Marietta certified as route 77 in 1935.
