Original state highway.
Originally routed from Higginsport to Port Clinton along current route
221 from Higginsport to Georgetown, route 68 from Georgetown to Kenton, and
route 53 from Kenton to Port Clinton.
By 1929, rerouted from Fayetteville to 3 miles north of St. Martin
along route 50 from Fayetteville to 2 miles east of Fayetteville and
previous unnumbered road and current route 251 from 2 miles east of
Fayetteville to 3 miles north of St. Martin.
Fayetteville to 3 miles north of St. Martin certified as route 251 by
1929.
By 1931, rerouted from Fayetteville to 3 miles north of St. Martin
along original routing and previous route 251.
2 miles east of Fayetteville to 3 miles north of St. Martin certified
as route 251 by 1931.
Georgetown to Kenton dually certified with route 10 in 1932.
Truncated at Kenton in 1933.
Higginsport to Georgetown certified as route 221 in 1933.
