The best eating in the world. Meat so tender it just melts in your mouth. Teppan Yaki also known as Kobe Beef.  This was usually a treat we would reserve when we went to Koza (mostly on a payday when we could afford it on an EM salary).  When I arrived on island this meal would generally cost $2 to $2.50.  After March 72 the price went up to $4.75 (when these pictures were taken).  By the time I got off island it went up to $7 to $7.50.  I sure would hate to see the price now.

Pictures were taken at Hotel Kyoto, Koza City, Okinawa.   1972
