Brandenburg, Germany. Left Hamburg, Germany on 26 June 1872 aboard
the Vandalia with son Carl and family. They arrived in New York on 13
July 1872 after 17 days at sea. Christian does not appear in any
Chicago area death indexes but his death cert. is on file in Cook Co.
Cert. has age as 79. Birth year is from age on Passenger lists.
Concordia records say he was 79 when he died (born 1804). Buried in
Concordia Cemetery with son Carl.
