Texas Wildflowers

My web page is celebrating nine years on the web.  Things are coming around. I have now heard from people all around the world that enjoy looking at Texas Wildflowers. Often I hear from home sick Texans that have been searching the web for pictures from "home".      I'm not a botanist or horta-what-ever, I just like to take pictures of Texas Wildflowers and then try to find out what they are called. If you find one that you disagree with the name I have given it, let me know.  I would love to talk to you about it.  The names I have given them are my best guess after 9 years of this hobby and a little help from fellow wildflower lovers.

I have tried to list the Texas Wildflowers in the order that you might see them start to bloom.  Click on the month and it will take you to a page with photos of Texas Wildflowers that start to bloom in that month.    Be aware that different regions will start to bloom before others.  In some cases I will list the area that I photographed them (when I can remember).  I have added a site index, so you can find the Texas Wildflower photo if you know the common name.  Good hunting and I sincerely hope you enjoy the photos.  I would love to know what you think.  And Good Luck to all of the students that are working on their Spring/Science project.

Note:  Any mention of a plant's use for food or medicine is strickly for entertainment and should never be taken as a fact.  Do not eat wildflowers unless you find them in the health food store or grocery store, then you can assume they are good for you to eat.
