Bloom period June thru October. This is considered a poisonous plant but belongs to same family as: tomatoes, potatoes and tobacco.
Did you know that many long years ago, tomatoes where not eaten because they
were thought to be poison? You can see the bur in this picture and that
bur would get caught in the Buffalo's fur and get transported to another spot to
be dropped off and planted. Easy to see how it got its name.
