The bloom period for this Texas beauty is almost year around when the conditions are right.  I took this photo in the median of Highway 199.  It was the first spring after the highway department finished the new double lane.  I suspect they planted them along with the Bluebonnets.  They have not been there since.  This Texas Wildflower is also called:  paper daisy and Desert Baileya.
