Frog Fruit

This is one of my favorite wildflowers. I can talk to people about all the beautiful wildflowers outside and they look at me very strange. Then I invite them to come outside and see the Frog Fruit. Most people will never see this flower and that's a shame. It grows many times in your lawn and is mostly un-noticed because it is just "frog eyelash high". Bloom period from May though November. Watch for it and look closely at the different colors in the center of the flowers. Other common names are: Cape Weed, Turkey Tangle and Mat Grass.
