This is a quote from one of my books: Astringent, carminative, stimulant, diuretic, promotes sweating. An infusion of the leaves and flowers can be used to alleviate flatulence and to promote sweating in fevers. An infusion of flowers has been used to treat kidney gravel and dropsy. My question is: what is kidney gravel? Just joking. This is a very nice Texas Wildflower. It has been thought that it caused people to sneeze and this is wrong it does not cause you to sneeze. The bloom period for this flower is: September through October.
