Bloom period May through June (I've actually seen them still blooming in late July). This is an abundant, long lasting wildflower. It looks great in a bouquet and is resistant to damage from the wind. But....before you go picking them please remember this poem:

Two foot square should hold this many
Otherwise, look but don't pick any.
