Pink Prairie Clover

Pink Prairie Clover

Petalostemon tenuifolius
Legume Family - Fabaceae/Leguminosae

This Texas Wildflower can be a bit confusing if you are into Botany.  Some call it one thing and others call it something else.  Another common name is :  Purple Prairie Clover.  This photo was taken on the corner of Lackland and Calmont.  Cows love to eat these plants and the plant is good for them.  Bloom period is from April through July.
