                         Dinodillo

        Dinodillo?

       What is that, anyway?

Two Dinos
Well, before she became a bear artist, Sue Ann Holcomb and her husband Paul tried matching up an armadillo and a dinosaur, with the resulting hybrid being an armasaur dinodillo. Riiiiiiight . . . and why would one be even remotely interested in doing such a thing?
Because of concern for ecological issues currently confronting the world in general and Texas in particular.

No kidding?!

Armadillo Digging
Let's back up a little. In 1993, after she had retired from a career in medical technology, Sue Ann decided she needed a project to work on in her newly acquired wealth of time. Combining her long-time hobby of painting and drawing with a deep concern for environmental issues, she came up with the idea of a children's book which would promote environmental awareness in younger, more flexible minds.

So now we come to the main character of the book, Tex R Masaur, the dinodillo . . . get it? Sue Ann enlisted the help of Paul who, in his spare time from being a software engineer, is a well-respected, much-published poet. He wrote most of the text with plot ideas from Sue Ann, while she produced the illustrations.  (Paul is now retired from his day job.)

While Texas is the setting, preserving natural beauty and resources is ultimately a worldwide challenge, so we offer this book to the public. Some of Sue Ann's illustrations are pictured. Cost of the book is $3.00 which includes shipping within the continental US.
