How come in cartoons, whenever one of those talking animals gets hit on the head, you'll immediately see two, maybe even three, little reddish pulsating lumps instantly grow right out of the roof of their head ?.... You know, I have yet to see this actually happen in real life.  Oh, believe me, I've tried.  If you get whacked just the right way with, oh let's say, a frying pan, you can very easily split a skull wide open.  No funny little bumps at all. Nope, just some serious cranial damage and a lot of blood.  Same applies to rolling pins, mallets and anvils.  Take it from me.  It's nothing like in the cartoons... Although, you WILL actually see stars and chirping birds circling around your head which I personally find quite entertaining. Helps me forget about the severe pain and longterm brain damage...
