It is difficult to put into one small paragraph what "Deco" was to us. Besides being a most wonderful, happy "personality" to live with, always delighting us with cute "DECO-ISMS", he had turned out to be quite the little producer! With the ability to produce consistent quality when linebred or outcrossed, he produced from the strength of his pedigree background, rather than exactly what he was himself. We are pleased that he continued to give healthy litters that contain the improvements that were sought after, without interfering with the bitches' strong points. And, we are seeing his strong points come thru in successive generations.

For the most part, any surprises we got were extremely pleasant, to say the least. And, SEVERAL of those surprises came from the PERFORMANCE arenas, as well as the Breed ring! CONGRATULATIONS! A dog's particular success in any "venue" is greatly dependent upon the owners, and we are greatful to have some GREAT owners!

Since his visit to Chicago, a late "start" on a siring career at age 8, thanks to Rita DeVito, Vinita Shelties, Deco attained his ROMC, now with twelve Canadian Champions, and his ROM, with 10 American Champions, and a tie for #3 top producer in 1993. (Actually, he is simultaneously working on his "ROMG" - Register of Merit - Grandpa, with grandchildren now attaining their titles!)
